There are opportunities now opened for a research assistants or field hand who want to join us in our Burdekin and Cairns locations. The successful candidates will work with our team to evaluate and assess improvement of fertilizers efficiency so as to improve the use of nitrogen for the sustainability of sugarcane industry in Australian.

The responsibility includes:

  • To conduct water, soil and plant sampling in harmony with procedure for trial protocols.
  • To maintain of sampling equipment
  • To apply fertilizer treatments to show brand trials at establishment
  • To assist in harvest of demonstration brand trials.
    • To organize and format trial data in unambiguous manner and keep the records of all trial activities

The candidates must possess adequate experience and ability to work in a challenging situations; must be versatile in agriculture/related science and computer literate enough for data entry and recording; must be able communicate very well with sugarcane growers and researchers
